Ministry Points

FYG: Fort Youth Group – An outreach to the teens of Fort Frances hosted by four evangelical churches and facilitated by a team of multi-talented leaders.  We do a monthly big event, have a core Deeper group and are launching an after school Deeper group.  (Deeper is a fancy word for Bible study)  I serve as coordinator, liason between leadership team and pastors, and leader of the Deeper groups.

SafeHouse – A student led Christian group held weekly during lunch in the local public high school.  We have spiritual discussions and play games.  My role is mentoring the student leaders and being a presence during the gatherings.

GIFT: Growing in Faith Together – A monthly youth oriented praise and worship event.  The music is led by high schoolers.  We have speakers from local churches, out of town, pastors, random guests, etc who seek to challenge believers to grow in relationship and to present the gospel to those who do not know Jesus.  I meet with the music teams each week for spiritual discussion, mentoring into leadership and practicing music.  I chair the Advisory Board and coordinate speakers, scheduling and other details.

Mentoring – Formally and informally I do what I can by the grace of God to build up teens and encourage them toward leadership.

Bible Camp – Two weeks of camp at Sunny Cove Camp filled with activity, chapels, games and relationships.  As Program Director for both weeks and one of the speakers for one week prepping is something that takes quite a bit of time in the spring.
